Experimental investigations of the unsteady boundary layer on an oscillating flat plate. Optimization and validation of a code, for calculating the potential flow/boundary layer coupling of a flat plate and of an oscillating profile
Abstract
In the scope of the project for the development of an onboard laser anemometer, the feasibility of onboard measurements, the materials and software for data acquisition are analyzed. The experimental results of the unsteady boundary layer on an oscillating flat plate, performed by means of an optical fiber laser anemometer, are given. The tests carried out on the oscillating profile are summarized. The selected tests for the validation of the code to be applied on the potential flow/boundary layer coupling calculations are presented. Theoretical and experimental calculations are compared.
