Climatic factors of the lower-atmosphere circulation

The monograph presents results of a statistical analysis of atmospheric circulation parameters at the altitude 80-100 km, obtained for the period 1964-1984 from radar measurements (in the city of Frunze, USSR) of meteorite trails. The circulation norms and characteristics, which can be used as indices of the climate dynamics in the lower atmosphere are identified. Using data from five mid-latitude radar and ionosphere stations in the Northern Hemisphere, the longitudinal effect in the lower atmosphere circulation is demonstrated and discussed. The types, the dates, and the periods of the short-time spring and fall transformations in the meteorite-zone and the lower-atmosphere circulation are presented.
