Two-dimensional photochemical and dynamic processes in the stratosphere
Abstract
Attention is given to different processes used to develop two-dimensional models of dynamic and photochemical processes in the stratosphere. The major chemical processes in the stratosphere are briefly described. Different interpretations of the mean and eddy transfer components are presented along with a classification of the two-dimensional models. Finally, an analysis is presented of numerical experiments conducted on two-dimensional models using nonadiabatic circulation.
