N-type high-temperature superconductors and the exciton mechanism of carrier coupling
Abstract
A study is made of the possible carrier coupling mechanisms in new n-type high temperature superconductors Ln(2-x)Xe(x)CuO4 (Ln = Nd, Pr, Sm). It is shown that an exciton mechanism of carrier coupling similar to that observed in p-type high-temperature superconductor may also be effective in the n-type superconductors.
