Ultrafast dynamics at semiconductor and metal surfaces
Abstract
The use of new ultrafast measurement techniques involving lasers and nonlinear optics to study dynamical phenomena at metal and semiconductor surfaces is discussed. Time-resolved laser experiments on surfaces and time-resolved two-photon photoemission spectroscopy are described. Studies of semiconductor surface recombination, semiconductor surface intervalley scattering, electronically excited states at metal surfaces are reviewed.
