Recent advances in high speed photography and associated technologies in the USA
Abstract
Recent applications of high speed photography and related technologies involving optoelectronics and digital recording of images for specialized laboratory cameras and commercially available systems are highlighted. Combination intensified/mechanical streak cameras; cineradiography/CID digital pulsed imaging; nanosecond gated MCPI(2)C cameras; pulsed laser stereophotography of plasmas and dynamically moving surfaces; and some optical systems using laser diodes for illumination are among the basic technologies considered.
