Mise en évidence de divers effets magnéto-électriques dans une lame de silicium n emplissant completement la section d'un guide rectangulaire bande X
Abstract
Measurements of the transmission (amplitude and phase) through an n-type silicon monocrystalline slab have been carried out as a function of a d.c. magnetic field applied perpendicularly to the propagation direction. Two cases are investigated for a given crystallographic orientation: the applied magnetic field is parallel or perpendicular to the electric vector of the incident wave. Experimental results show that the Hall effect mainly involves a quadratic variation, superimposed on the effect of the magnetoresistance alone. In the case of low Hall mobility materials, it is shown that the results can be interpreted on the basis of a TE 01 mode which is not very perturbed but depends on the sample thickness.
