Superconductivity in Y1Ba2Cu3O(7-x) films on single-crystal silicon substrates
Abstract
A plasma-spraying process for the fabrication of Y1Ba2Cu3O(7-x) films on silicon substrates is described, and the superconducting properties of these films are examined. The resistance of all the superconducting films produced by this process is shown to increase as temperature decreases from room temperature to about 100 K. After that, the resistance decreases, reaching instrument zero at 65-54 K.
