The bremsstrahlung/absorption spectrum of plasmas in extreme states
Abstract
Sufficiently simple analytical relationships are obtained for calculating the bremsstrahlung/absorption spectrum of plasmas or, equivalently, the dynamic plasma conductivity for a wide range of parameters. Results for liquid sodium obtained using the proposed approach are compared with experimental results and numerical calculations. The proposed analytical approach can account for effects observed in plasmas in extreme states at temperatures greater than about 1 keV.
