The effect of the thermal deformation of mirrors on the characteristics of an unstable cavity of a gas-discharge CO2 laser
Abstract
The paper presents a scheme for the numerical solution of self-consistent problems on the location of a radiation field and of thermoelastic deformations of rectangular mirror-plates in the telescopic cavity of a gas-flow discharge CO2 laser. The present results are compared with the case when the cavity mirrors are not deformed. The mutual effects of the radiation and the thermal distortions of the mirror are discussed as well as the effect of these distortions on the divergence of the output beam of the laser.
