Vibrationally resolved photoelectron angular distributions and branching ratios for the ground state of N2+
Abstract
The branching ratios and photoelectron angular distributions for the ground state of N2(+) are measured over the photon energy range of 22-44 eV. The angular distribution measurements for v-prime = 0 blend in quite well with earlier data, extending them to higher energies, and, for v-prime = 1, agreement with earlier branching ratio data is good. The results for v-prime = 2, for which no previous measurements are available, agree best with calculations by Lucchese and McKoy (1981). When combined with data obtained by other authors at lower photon energies for the angular distribution parameters for the v-prime = 1 and 2 levels, agreement with theory is less satisfactory.
