Numerical simulation of crystal pulling downward, from the lower interface of the floating melt
Abstract
The crystal is pulled from the lower interface of the floating melt into the encapsulant which carries the melt and thermally insulates the crystal as it grows. The top interface is used to heat the melt from above and to control the melt stoichiometry. Heat transfer and fluid flow in the proposed process are modeled.
