Time-dependent solvation effects on the rate of nonradiative electronic relaxation in solution
Abstract
The influence of time-dependent solvation on the rate of nonradiative electronic relaxation in the absence of an activation barrier is studied. The dependence of the rate on the characteristics of the solvent and on the wavelength of excitation is analyzed. A simple analytical formulation to predict the rate is given.
