Large eddy simulation of concentration fluctuations
Abstract
The authors are using large eddy simulation to investigate concentration fluctuations downwind of a localized source. An estimate of the fluctuation statistics is particularly important for any atmospheric dispersion application which is concerned with samples taken over relatively short times. Some tentative results obtained on such statistics concerning concentration and velocity fields are reported here.
