The blast wave expansion over concave surfaces
Abstract
Blast-wave propagation over concave surfaces is investigated analytically, applying the formula of Sakurai (1953 and 1954) to the case without reflection. The derivation of the governing equations is given in detail, and numerical results are presented in graphs. The surfaces described are found to be spiral-shaped and to open in accordance with the expansion factor.
