Differential Doppler measurements for the equatorial anomaly crests of the ionosphere
Abstract
The differential Doppler measurements for the equatorial anomaly crests in Wuhan (114.4 deg E, 30.5 deg N) are presented. The study of the experimental data indicates that the equatorial anomaly crests in the Far East is situated in the area between Changsa (113.O deg E, 28.1 deg N) and Guangzhou (113.3 deg E, 23.2 deg N). The northern 'hump' of the equatorial anomaly is mostly between Hengyang (112.5 deg E, 26.8 deg N) and Yingde (113.5 deg E, 24.2 deg N). Some useful results about hump behavior are also given.
