Transformation of magnetostatic wave models during their scattering by a surface acoustic wave in YIG films
Abstract
The paper presents an investigation of the noncollinear scattering of surface magnetostatic waves (SMSWs) by a SAW in YIG films. Experimental results are interpreted by a mechanism involving the transformation of incident MSWs connected with scattering into other modes: reverse bulk MSWs and anisotropic-dipole MSWs due to the magnetic anisotropy of the YIG film. Calculation results on the angular dependence of the resonant frequencies of the scattering are found to agree well with experimental results.
