Deformation of a free liquid surface under the effect of light pressure. I - Theory
Abstract
The problem of the deformation of a free liquid surface under the effect of light pressure is solved for the case of an axisymmetric emission distribution in the focal spot. Approximate Stokes equations are solved by using the Laplace transform in terms of time and the Hankel transform in terms of radius. Numerical calculations are carried out for the case of a short laser pulse and a Gaussian intensity distribution in the focal spot.
