Contribution to the theory of an electromagnetic signal from a hot quark-gluon plasma
Abstract
Various distribution functions for lepton pairs emitted thermally at a fixed temperature from an electromagnetically transparent plasma are found. It is shown that the energy distribution in the photon spectrum of heat radiation resembles the Fermi distribution of initial elementary emitter-quarks. Under realistic conditions of quark-gluon plasma generation during collisions between ultrarelativistic nuclei, allowance is made for hydrodynamic expansion accompanied by cooling. The resultant energy and angular distributions of the electromagnetically interacting particles are found in a closed form.
