Development of dissipative beam instability in a plasma with varying density
Abstract
An analysis is made of the spectral evolution of oscillations excited in the case of the hydrodynamic instability of a beam of charged particles passing through a cold plasma whose density varies with time. It is shown that the development of the beam instability in a dissipative plasma with varying density occurs under conditions of the excitation of a broad spectrum of oscillations.
