Solution of some problems of heat transfer optimization in flows past bodies
Abstract
A general approach is proposed for solving heat transfer optimization problems for flows past bodies. It is shown, in particular, that, under conditions of forced convection, there exist optimal distributions of thermal head and corresponding heat flux density distributions that satisfy certain requirements (e.g., providing maximum transmitted heat for a given maximum surface temperature). The general statement of problems of this kind is discussed, and examples of optimal distributions are given.
