SBS in multiple-pass cells - Reducing the threshold and controlling the quality of phase conjugation
Abstract
Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in multiple-pass cells is investigated experimentally with a view to using such cells to lower the threshold and improve the quality of phase conjugation. The experimental setup and the experimental procedure are described, and results are presented on the dependence of SRS threshold on the number of passes through the cell and on the dependence of the reflection coefficient and the quality parameter on the pump energy.
