Structure and formation of superclusters - VIII. Evolution of structure in a model with cold dark matter and cosmological constant.
Abstract
We present the results of a numerical simulation of a universe dominated by cold dark matter. We adopt the inflationary background model with the density parameter {OMEGA}_0_=0.2. Primordial fluctuations are assumed to be adiabatic with a constant curvature power spectrum. The particle-mesh (PM) code with 64^3^particles on a 64^3^ grid is used. Huge low-density regions and systems of all kinds of multiplicity appear in the present model. This model describes satisfactorily at least two aspects of the properties of structures in the Local Supercluster: the percolation properties and the distribution of high- and low-density regions.
