Quantum frequency standards based on the FM resonances of ring lasers
Abstract
An FM technique for the recording of resonances in linear lasers with intracavity nonlinear absorption was experimentally demonstrated. The results confirm the efficiency of the utilization of FM resonances of saturated dispersion in gas ring lasers as quantum frequency standards. Particular attention is given to FM-resonance characteristics in an He-Ne/CH4 gas ring laser.
