Determination of trough parameters assuming various data
Abstract
During the winter, a trough is regularly seen in the width profile of the total electron content (TEC) of the high-latitude ionosphere north of about 60 deg. TEC measurements from Uppsala station were used in a static study of the dependence of trough behavior on time of day, solar activity, and geomagnetic behavior, and the results are reported. A special case that occurred during the CDAW-6 period is analyzed.
