An experimental study of the parameters of radiative-conductive heat transfer in high-temperature melts
Abstract
Experimental equipment and procedures for studying radiative-conductive heat transfer in melts are described, with particular attention given to an apparatus for measuring the optical properties of melts and the coaxial cylinder method for measuring the heat conductivity of melts. Experimental data are then presented on the heat conductivity and spectral absorption coefficient of NaCl, KCl, LIF, MgF2, CaF2, BaF2, Er(0.3)Y(2.7)Al5O12, and Al2O3 melts.
