Calculation of the near wave fields of a VLF frame radiator in a homogeneous magnetoplasma
Abstract
A numerical-integration method is used to determine the wave-field structure of a circular frame antenna in a homogeneous collisionless multicomponent magnetoplasma. Field components are calculated for a daytime ionospheric plasma model, where the operating frequency of 9.6 kHz is significantly higher than the lower-hybrid frequency. The proposed method permits the calculation of the wave field at arbitrary distances from the antenna.
