Dynamics of the superconducting glass YBa2Cu3O7
Abstract
The time relaxation of a magnetic flux trapped during cooling in magnetic fields of 10 and 50 Oe has been measured at 4.2 K for the superconducting glass YBa2Cu3O7 (Tc = 98 K). It is found that the flux decreases logarithmically, indicating the existence of a nonequilibrium state similar to spin glass in magnetics. The same dependence has been observed in the case of the superconducting metal oxide BaPb(0.75)Bi(0.25)O3 (Tc = 8 K) cooled in a field of H = 1.5 Oe.
