Superconductivity of Ba2/Y(1-x)Zr(x)/Cu3O(7-y) compound
Abstract
Specimens of Ba2/Y(1-x)Zr(x)/Cu3O(7-y) ceramic have been produced by sintering mixtures of very fine powders of Y2O3, BaCO3, CuO, and ZrO2. This ceramic compound exhibits superconducting properties at temperatures above 90 K over a wide concentration range. A maximum critical temperature of the superconducting transition is observed for x=0.1-0.25.
