Analytical studies of thermal processes during the continuous and repetitively pulsed laser welding of metals
Abstract
A mathematical model is proposed which can be used for calculating temperature fields during the continuous and repetitively pulsed laser welding of metals. Self-similar determinations are made of the emission power and distribution over the vapor-channel depth and channel parameters, with allowance made for the characteristics of hydrodynamic processes occurring in the melt. The suitability of the model for practical use is demonstrated experimentally.
