Measurements of the surface ozone concentration at the Mirnyi station in the Antarctic
Abstract
Measurements of the surface concentration of ozone were performed at the coastal Antarctic station Mirnyi during February-March 1986. Two regimes were observed in the temporal behavior of the concentration of ozone. One is characterized by a sufficiently gradual and regular daily course with a maximum in the night and morning hours and a minimum in the afternoon. The second regime is observed in the presence of a Stokes wind; the daily course of O3 is much less regular.
