Periodic ozone and direct solar radiation variations in the atmospheric boundary layer
Abstract
Results of a series of observations of ozone and direct solar radiation variations in the atmospheric boundary layer conducted in 1983-1985 are reported. It is found that variations in ozone are correlated with that in direct solar radiation, with the correlation coefficient ranging from 0.38 to 0.81. An analysis of the observation results suggests that the observed small-scale variations of the ozone level are photochemical in nature.
