Interpretation of the amplitudes of the light variations of RW Aur and BY Dra

The excitation mechanism and interpretation of the amplitudes of the short-period (10³ - 10⁴sec) light variations observed in RW Aur and BY Dra, which are interpreted as global oscillations, are discussed. It is shown that the mechanism proposed by Shibahashi for intensification of the p-modes of global oscillations caused by a magnetic field can explain the observed amplitudes.
