Experimental investigation of 2p(5)3s, 3p, and 3d configurations in ions of the isoelectronic sequence of Ne I
Abstract
An analysis of laser-plasma spectra is used to investigate the 3s-3p and 3p-3d transitions of neonlike ions of sulfur, chlorine, potassium, and calcium in the VUV range (350-1100 A). About 140 spectral lines were identified as transitions between the 2p(5)3s, 3p, and 3d configurations in the Ne-like ions S VII, Cl VIII, K X, and Ca XI. The level system of these configurations is examined.
