Optical communication. Four quadrant avalanche detector. Modeling, theoretical results and comparison with experimental values
Abstract
An instrumental approach for the acquisition and tracking design in optical space communications is described. The instrument is based on 4 quadrant avalanche silicon detectors. The theoretical results derived from use of the components, giving the noise equivalent angle on GEO and LEO satellites in various working modes, are given. It is shown that the use of this type of detector is possible at a low frequency modulation of telecommunication beam in order to avoid stray light.
