A theoretical analysis of a site diversity model for a microwave satellite communication system
Abstract
The paper is concerned with the development of methodologies and models to predict the improvement in using the site diversity approach. In particular, a very general rigorous method is proposed for predicting the joint probability or the diversity advantange of a site diversity satellite system. The predictive analysis has been applied to several situations where site diversity communication systems have been operated, and satisfactory agreement with experimental results has been obtained.
