Stabilization of the characteristics of distributed Bragg mirrors
Abstract
A simple method is presented which makes it possible to maintain the scattering efficiency and bandwidth of Bragg mirrors despite large variations of the corrugation depth. Stabilization of Bragg mirrors improves the repeatability of results and reduces the undesired variations in scattering characteristics and noise. The method described here is suitable for thin-film and diffusive waveguides.
