Gluino condensation in supersymmetry theories with SU(N) and O(N) gauge groups
Abstract
Supersymmetry SU(N) and O(N) gauge theories without matter are considered. A construction is proposed which makes it possible to calculate the (Tr lambda lambda) condensate in such theories. In the case of unitary groups, (Tr lambda lambda) SU(N) takes N different values; in the case of orthogonal groups, (Tr lambda lambda) O(N) takes (N  2) values. The multiplicity of the vacuum degeneracy for theta = 0 is N and (N  2), respectively.
