A study of the characteristics of a discharge at 'cold' cathodes in low-temperature plasma flow
Abstract
An experimental stand with a computerized data acquisition and processing system for studying the characteristics of electric discharges at electrodes in low-temperature plasmas containing alkali metal compounds is described. A study is made of the boundary layer breakdown at 'cold' electrodes in the presence of potassium and cesium additives. The breakdown voltage is determined as a function of the electrode surface temperature.
