Cosmology in the Einstein-Cartan theory. 1. Spin dynamics.
Abstract
The spin dynamics of a Weisenhoff fluid (WF) in a gravitational field is investigated. It is demonstrated that nontrivial spin of a WF satisfying the Frenkel conditions is conserved if and only if the fluid moves without acceleration. The results have important implications for the limitation of the class of permissible metrics for the description of cosmological models.
