The influence of nonlinear effects on the dynamics of periodic structure formation upon exposure of metal and semiconductor surfaces to laser radiation
Abstract
The formation of periodic structures of defects due to evaporation upon exposure of metal and semiconductor surfaces to laser radiation is examined theoretically. It is shown that the appearance of additional periodic structures is possible at the nonlinear stage of the process. Conditions of their appearance are elucidated and their growth increments are computed.
