A calibration method for measurements of the longitudinal magnetic field and differential radial velocity.
Abstract
A new calibration method of magnetographs and instruments designed for measuring the differential radial velocity is suggested. The method provides an improved calibration accuracy, can be carried out under virtually the same conditions as routine observations, and offers some better operational characteristics.
