Translational and rotational motion of a test rigid body in relativistic celestial mechanics.
Abstract
Equations of translational and rotational motion of a test rigid body are obtained in terms of variables closely related with astronomically observable quantities. These equations are derived by two different methods. The first one is based on the equivalence principle and the equation of the second geodetic deviation. The second method involves the multipole formalism expansions.
