Noncoherent-object hologram: its reconstruction and optical processing
Abstract
A method of obtaining a hologram of a spatially noncoherent object using a wave-front-folding self-referencing interferometer is described. The record made by the wave-front-folding interferometer behaves much as a hologram does; it permits reconstruction of the original object by illuminating it with a spatially noncoherent planar source of uniform intensity. The conventional coherent-light Fourier transform setup is not needed. Examples of noncoherent-object information processing are discussed.
