The coefficient of outflow of electrons generated in solar flares.
Abstract
The escape efficiency into interplanetary space of high-energy electrons generated in solar flares of different importance is examined. A numerical assessment is made of the measure of this efficiency, i.e., the escape coefficient, defined as alpha = Nes/Nt, where Nes and Nt are the number of escaping and accelerated electrons, respectively. The present investigation is based on an analysis of electron events and X-ray bursts recorded by the Venera 13 and 14 probes as well as data on radio bursts connected with these events.
