Electrostrictive ferroelectric ceramics and their applications
Abstract
The basic physical properties of electrostrictive ferroelectric ceramics (EFCs) are examined; and the main mechanisms responsible for the appearance of large electrostrictive deformations in ferroelectrics with a blurred phase transition are considered. Possible applications of EFCs are discussed, and it is concluded that these materials can be effectively applied in optics, fine mechanics, and electronics.
