Optimization of the impulse response of a transversal filter on the basis of the maximum-principle algorithm
Abstract
The Pontriagin maximum principle is modified in such a way that it imparts adaptive properties to the optimal impulse response of a transversal filter, i.e., the response is adapted to time variations of random signals at the filter input. The modification is carried out under the constraint that each symbol of the filter input signal is of finite and fixed duration.
