Diagnostics of density fields in heat and mass transfer processes with axial symmetry
Abstract
The use of speckle photography for the diagnostics of fields of local values of density and temperature in axisymmetric flows is discussed. Integrals of density gradients are obtained in the region of natural convection around a vertical cylinder. Radial temperature distributions in the gasdynamic inhomogeneity region, calculated from the measurements, are presented. The sensitivity of the method and its advantages in studies of heat and mass transfer are examined.
