3-D image reconstruction by coherent processing of radar echoes
Abstract
It is shown how a three-dimensional image of a radar target can be obtained by the coherent processing of radar echoes. The limits on the image resolution are imposed by the transmitted signal format and the type of target motion. It is found that resolution along three directions can be obtained only if the Fourier domain on which the data are available is a three-dimensional domain.
