Institut Geographique National (IGN), France: Participation in Spacelab photographic test campaign
Abstract
To prepare for the next Spacelab flight Zeiss RMK cameras equipped with a forward motion compensation and emulsions of high definition but low sensitivity were assessed. In order to test a maximum of conditions met by Spacelab, test flights considered several parameters, such as Sun elevation and altitude of the aircraft in relation with V/H ratios. Data exploitation includes a sensitometric study of the films in order to evaluate contrast, granularity, and sensitivity of each emulsion and to determine resolving power for various incident angles.
